increase the risk of miscarriage, and lead to pregnancy complications. These malformations result from defects in the development, fusion, or resorption of the M\u00fcllerian ducts during embryogenesis (Table 1). Diagnosis is performed through imaging techniques such as 3D ultrasound (US), hysterosalpingography, and MRI.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-greenshift-blocks-container gspb_container gspb_container-gsbp-3ced1fa\" id=\"gspb_container-id-gsbp-3ced1fa\">\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/alevato.xyz\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/03\/2-1-1024x890.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-2023\"\/><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\">Image of uterine malformation. However, it is an invasive and often uncomfortable procedure. Alternatively, contrast-enhanced US can also be used for this assessment. Three-dimensional hysterosalpingo-contrast sonography (HyCoSy), which incorporates second-generation contrast agents like SonoVue and advanced software in US machines, allows for a detailed evaluation of the uterine cavity and FT patency. This technique creates a&nbsp;Virtual Hysterosalpingography (VH), providing a non-invasive visualization of the uterine cavity and fallopian tubes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-greenshift-blocks-container gspb_container gspb_container-gsbp-51e9883\" id=\"gspb_container-id-gsbp-51e9883\">\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/alevato.xyz\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/03\/37-1-1024x570.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-2025\"\/><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\">Exhibition in the metaverse about uterine malformations<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">We believe that combining VH and Expanded Reality can offer valuable insights into the morphology of the uterine and fallopian tube cavities in addition to facilitating medical education and multidisciplinary discussions.
