He holds a degree in Medicine from the Federal University of the State of Rio de Janeiro (Uni-Rio) (1989), a master’s degree in Medicine (Obstetrics) from the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (UFRJ) (2000) and a PhD in Medicine (Radiology) from the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (UFRJ) (2012). He is currently a physician at the Diagnostic Imaging Clinic (CDPI) and Alta Excelência Diagnóstica (Dasa). He specializes in Gynecology, Obstetrics and Ultrasonography, working mainly on the following topics: ultrasound, fetal medicine, magnetic resonance imaging, 3D printing and Expanded Realities. Professor of the Postgraduate Program in Radiology at the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (UFRJ). Coordinator of the Dasa/PUC-Rio Biodesign Laboratory. Full Member of the Brazilian Academy of Ultrasonography. Full Member of the Latin American Academy of Ultrasonography. Former Ambassador of “The International Society of Ultrasound in Obstetrics and Gynecology (ISUOG)” in Brazil. Vice-president of the National Commission of Specialization (CNE) of Ultrasound in Gynecology and Obstetrics (FEBRASGO). Associate editor of the “Journal of Clinical Ultrasound”. Collaborator of the Institute of Education and Research, Dasa (IEPD).
Married to Cristina and father of Enzo.
